Comprehensive Eye Exams
Each patient is unique due to their individual eye condition, genetic disposition, lifestyle,
environment, personality, and preference. Our goal is to provide eye care to you with undivided attention.
At Rainbow Optometry, our experienced eye doctor provides eye care from ages 3 and up.
Obtaining acomprehensive eye exam prior to entering kindergarten is vital for academic success. Young children may not be able to communicate to their parents that they cannot see well, simply because they do not know the potential for better vision. For young children, we use pictures and cartoons to check their vision. We are great with children, and young children tend to have a very positive eye exam experience at our office.
Our comprehensive eye exams include:
- Understanding your unique eye history, analyzing your current glasses, and knowing your goal
- Assessment of your vision and determining your prescription
- Detecting any serious eye diseases such as cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration with digital imaging technology
- Detecting any ocular surface disease such as dry eye, ocular allergies, and inflammation
- Detecting any color vision deficiency
- Ruling out any eye teaming disorders such as crossed eyes or uncoordinated eye movement
- Assessment of your eye focusing abilities, such as the abilities to see clearly for driving, for computer and for cellphone, or switching focus from white board to text book for students
- Demonstrating the updated vision correction to meet your goal
- Providing treatments to optimize your ocular comfort
- Educating you on how to take care of your eyes to prevent or minimize any long term eye problems
